Are Abyssinian Guinea Pigs Active?
If you are searching for this adorable pet it is probably a question you have as to whether you will be up all night listening to your new Abyssinian guinea pig scratch and chew and lick from his water bottle all night. The answer is no, not at all. If your Abyssinian guinea pig is supplied with appropriate tunnels and other things to occupy them and interest them, they will play and have fun during the day. However, they are definitely not like a hamster that will be running his wheel right off the cage by the end of the day. Guinea pigs are not extremely active and do require a fair amount of exercise also. For a nice treat, your guinea pig would like to go outside and work on his tan but remember, too long in the sun for an Abyssinian guinea pig can lead to sun stroke so take precautions and be certain not to be left in the sun too long.
